Is Scheduled To Be Released in December Of 2011...The Adventures of Tintin (Les Aventures de Tintin) is a series of comic strips created by the Belgian artist Georges Rémi (1907–1983), who wrote under the pen name of Hergé. The series first appeared in French in Le Petit Vingtième, a children's supplement to the Belgian newspaper Le XXe Siècle on 10 January 1929.A Screen-Shot From The Film Tin-Tin...[The Teaser Poster and Trailer Is Below...]

The success of the series saw the serialised strips collected into a series of twenty-four albums, spun into a successful magazine and adapted for film, radio, television and theatre. The series is one of the most popular European comics of the 20th century, with translations published in more than 80 languages and more than 350 million copies of the books sold to date.[1] Its popularity around the world has been attributed to its "universal appeal" and its ability to transcend "time, language and culture."[2][3]
The Current Tin Tin Film...[Teaser Trailers]
Set during a largely realistic 20th century, the hero of the series is Tintin, a young Belgian reporter. He is aided in his adventures from the beginning by his faithful fox terrier dog Snowy (Milou in French). Later, popular additions to the cast included the brash, cynical and grumpy Captain Haddock, the highly intelligent but hearing-impaired Professor Calculus (Professeur Tournesol) and other supporting characters such as the incompetent detectives Thomson and Thompson (Dupont et Dupond). Hergé himself features in several of the comics as a background character, as do his assistants in some instances.
The comic strip series has long been admired for its clean, expressive drawings in Hergé's signature ligne claire style.[4][5][6][7] Its "engaging",[8] well-researched[8][9][10] plots straddle a variety of genres: swashbuckling adventures with elements of fantasy, mysteries, political thrillers, and science fiction. The stories within the Tintin series always feature slapstick humour, accompanied in later albums by satire, and political and cultural commentary.

This could be a good one, I'm not an overly big fan of the stop motion stuff, but some have been good.
ReplyDeleteOnly thing that makes me weery is Spielberg hasn't made or produced a really good film in years. Indiana Jones 4 put him so low in the movie dung pit, I don't know if he'll ever get out.
But I remember liking the cartoon and it's great how the character uses elements from pretty much anything. So we shall see.
Hi! Pat Hatt...
ReplyDelete"Only thing that makes me weery is Spielberg hasn't made or produced a really good film in years. Indiana Jones 4 put him so low in the movie dung pit, I don't know if he'll ever get out..."
I must admit and this is the "gosh-awful" truth...I overheard some fellow blogger, critiquing Spielberg's string Of duds...and their concerns were basically, the same as yours...with that being said, I can't wait to watch this 3-D Animated film.
Because some Of my family members, loved the original and sent me copies.
Therefore, I "highly," (Well, I'am not sure about "highly") However, I do anticipate this Spielberg and [Peter] Jackson collaboration together. I must admit that the teaser trailer looks great and I can just imagine this on the big-screen in 3-D effect!
[Postscript: Now, when it comes to Spielberg's "Indiana Jones"I must admit that Indiana Jones 4 went right over my radar (screen)...I didn't even know that it was released...Well, not until Brian, mentioned the fact, that Indy 4 was released.(When I posted about the author Of the film book here on my blog...)]
Pat Hatt,
Thanks, for stopping by and leaving a comment about this Spielberg and Jackson's vehicle.
DD ;-D
dee dee this is fascinating...i had not heard of this movie before reading this and i imagine spielberg will do a marvelous job with it...i am familiar with the comic strip though and will certainly look into this...
ReplyDeleteHi! Brian...
ReplyDeleteI read your comment quite a while ago...after reading your comment I went in search Of two links on my other blog.
Maybe these two links will be helpful [Most importantly, you have at least seven month to prepare for the onslaught Of commercialism (The Selling Of Tintin) as we all wait for the release Of this film in December.]
Brian, Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment... Tintinologist and Le Tintin Movie
DeeDee ;-D
sounds really good - have never heard about this film, neither of the comic strip but will definitely check this out - spielberg is fantastic and usually the things he takes into his hands somehow turn to gold
ReplyDeleteHi! Claudia...
ReplyDeleteIf you like just follow the links that I linked in my previous comment to Brian, but believe me I'm quite sure that you will hear more about this Spielberg/Jackson collaboration in the upcoming months.
[Postscript:
Claudia,
What an uber-avatar...Thanks, for stopping by and leaving a comment too!]

Wow Brian never heard of the TinTin movie. Hey TinTin, DeeDee and Pat Hatt, hmmm something wrong there..lol
ReplyDeleteSeems alot of people still have faith in Spielberg, when really he hasn't directed a movie in what years? Plus his last one was Indiana Jones 4, as said complete garbage. Before than Munich, wasn't bad, but then he remade War of The Worlds before that and remakes almost always suck, which was the case with this. I'll take the original, heck even the tv show, over that piece of trash.
Fact is he hasn't given a good movie, directing wise in years, people and him are just living off his past feats. Just like Lucas who keeps his one hit wonder going, i.e. Star Wars, by beating it into the ground and remaking it every two years into some new format, never doing anything new.
But that seems to be the trend, remake, sequelize or redo the same stuff that's already been done. Lucas is the biggest hack that falls into this out there and Spielberg is slowly becoming one too. Jackson I have some faith in though, so this one will hopefully be decent. Unlike other produced ones by Spielberg like Men in Black 2, trash that was. Ok my rant is done..lol
"Wow Brian never heard of the TinTin movie. Hey TinTin, DeeDee and Pat Hatt, hmmm something wrong there..lol"
ReplyDeleteOmg! lol
Pat Hatt, I'm "gunning" for you, [Translation: I'am out to get you...] after just reading your last retort over there on your blog.
I think that I would rather be roast(ed) like a pig with an apple in my mouth than eat a "RAT"
Toast(ed!)...Omg! that is disgusting! lol]
[Now, I'm out Of rhyming mode...]
I agree with you, about Spielberg, he should have never remade "War of The Worlds."
I have never watched "Munich," Therefore, I will be adding the film to my Netflix queue.
However, that's so true what you say about Lucas, and to think that I have never watch any Of the "Star War" films yet, with "yet" being the operative word.
Do you want to know who Lucas, twin brother is?...Just think Robert Rodriguez, he is about to release "Spy Kids 4"...Come now, do we really need a "Spy Kids 4?" I ask you...
...Sort Of, like the "Harry Potter" series...I think that book or series Of books where(Sp) to focus on a "young boy" and wizardry, but it appears to have "morphed" into something else...Go figure?
[Pat Hatt,
Thanks, for stopping by again, to leave a comment...Now, I'am going for a "ride"...Because after Brian, read your comment we both are going to have to "run and hide!" lol!]
DeeDee :-(
What you don't like my retort
ReplyDeleteTo get me you'll have to get by my fort..lol
Yeah Munich wasn't bad, it's worth a watch I guess, but Star Wars should be in your que over that. Never watched them geez.
At least the first three i.e. the ones from the 80's. The other three, newer ones, again more trash so avoid.
Heck we never needed a Spy Kids 2 and 3 let alone a 4th. Another worthless sequel.
I admit I like the Harry Potter movies because I never have read the books, but yeah it has morphed into something different, as they want to milk it for all it's worth. Gaurunteed in 10 years or so they'll remake it or do more in some way.
Brian doesn't scare me
But if he comes near I can go fast and flee..lol
"Brian doesn't scare me
ReplyDeleteBut if he comes near I can go fast and flee..."
[Laughter!]
Oh! yes, Pat, I was just teasing...Brian, is very "nice..." I'm quite sure that we both will never have to take..."flight!"
Your comment about the films is spot-on
Thanks, for returning and leaving a response...Pat in the Hatt, and being a "cool" cat!
